The Gozo CCU Foundation held another successful fundraising event at The Village Inn in Xlendi on Gozo on the evening of Tuesday the 24th March 2009.
Twenty one people enjoyed a four course meal prepared and served by our hosts Franco and Frances who were ably assisted by Renzo.
The first course was a choice of crespelli (pancakes) stuffed with peppers and fried onions or alternatively smoked fish platter. This was followed by broccoli soup after which everyone had a choice for their main course of either fish in caper sauce, chicken in tarragon sauce of veal escallops in mushroom sauce. Finally, this was topped off with fresh strawberries and vanilla ice cream.
Delicata were kind enough to provide sponsorship for the wine for the evening and we are extremely grateful to them and to Franco for arranging this.
During the course of the evening we also held a Raffle and Grahame Cowell was even able to persuade some tourists to take part and were pleased to report that they even won a prize each.
A thoroughly enjoyable evening and we would like to thank all those who supported the event and who continue to support the Gozo CCU Foundation.
