The Gozo CCU Foundation Summer Sizzler held on the 30th August was a huge success. It was a perfect evening of food, wine and entertainment and it was enjoyed by all who attended.
The entertainment provided by Manuel and the Gozo Line Dancers had people dancing in the square of Santa Lucija in Gozo till late in the evening.
The atmosphere in the tiny hamlet of Santa Lucija was one of pleasure and fun, supporters of the CCU Foundation, local villagers, friends in Malta and visitors from as far as New Zealand attended the event, which was very well supported. The local villagers helped in the preparation of the food and also the preparation of the Roast pig. A very sumptuous buffet was laid on which was very well received.
Thanks to many local companies and individuals (especially the residents of Santa Lucija for working hard on behalf of The Gozo CCU Foundation) and all those who donated the wonderful raffle prizes, the event was a huge success and we raised a healthy amount of money to go towards the purchase of Monitor No 6 for the Gozo Cardiac Care Unit of the Local Hospital.
The Chairman, Carmen Bellamy and the Committee members would like to thank all those who attended and all those who supported us on this wonderful evening. Thanks also go to all those who sent letters and messages of congratulations on the event.
