Spring Evening 2010

CCU Events:

13th March 2010 - An Evening in Spring.  Over 200 people attended the Gozo CCCU Foundation’s ‘An Evening in Spring’ with a Spanish flavour, on Saturday, the 13th of March at the Calypso Hotel, Marsalforn, Gozo, to raise funds to purchase life saving equipment for the CCU Ward of Gozo General Hospital. A large contingent from Sliema Lions (who indirectly support the Foundation) attended the event.
The Hierba Nueva Flamenco dancers delighted the audience with their very professional performance and they received a very well deserved standing ovation by the guests . As usual Christine and Joe completed the evening with their music, with some guests joining in with dancing.

Dame Carmen Bellamy and the Committee of the Gozo CCU Monitors Foundation would like to thank all the people that attended and supported this fundraising event.



Special thanks go not only to the performers, but also to Joe Muscat, the General Manager of the Calypso Hotel, Manuel, the Head Waiter, the Chef and all the staff for the excellent food and for the great service. Special thanks go also to the people who donated raffle prizes and to Charles Calleja of Delicata wines.

The Foundation would like to thank all those who sent letters and messages of congratulations about the event.
Their next event is “Concert Under the Stars,” which takes place on the 4th of July in the lovely gardens of Auberge Ta Frenc. Early booking is recommended.
