On Wednesday the 4th June 2008, we held a Fund Raising Dinner at the Chinese Restaurant in Victoria, Gozo called Fu Hua which was almost full to capacity. Thirty six people had a very enjoyable evening and our hosts Kevin and Lewis provided a superb Chinese meal to wet our appetites. In fact, our hosts were so generous with the portions that we could have taken doggy bags home for the following day.
We started with a selection of Spring Rools, Crispy Wontons, Sesame Bread Dim Sums, Crispy Port Meatballs and Five Spice Chicken Wings and then for our main course we were entreated to Chicken in Lemon Sauce, Stir Fried Beef with Vegetables and Black Bean Sauce together with Sweet and Sour Pork all of which was accompanied with Egg Fried Rice and Noddles with Vegetables and Soy Sauce.
For those who still had room to spare, Kevin served up a selection of Deep Fried Fruits (Apple, Banana and Pineapple) together with ice cream for those who wanted it. Wine and Water was included.
We also held a Raffle during the evening and would like to thank Kevin of Fu Hua for providing a Free Meal Voucher for two as one of the Raffle Prizes. Other Raffle prizes were donated by the Committee.
We have had very positive feedback from many people who attended the event that night; not only concerning the quality of the food but how enjoyable the evening was overall. We will definitely consider doing this again. So watch this space!
We would like to take this opportunity to thank Kevin and Lewis of Fu Hua for their kind generosity in hosting this event. Their assistance, there is no doubt, went a considerable way to help raising this money.
We would also like to thank everyone who supported us on the night by attending this event, without your help the Foundation would not be able to provide these Monitors. We value the support of everyone who continues to help us both now and in the future.
