Gozo CCU Foundation donate new Defibrillator

Yesterday, Wednesday the 6th May 2009, the Gozo CCU Foundation presented a Zoll Pro Defibrillator to the Accident and Emergency Department of the Gozo General Hospital.

In a short speech, the Chairman of the Foundation, Dame Carmen Bellamy, explained that this Defibrillator was being donated so as to enhance the excellence that is being provided by the staff in this Department.  This equipment can also be used on the ambulances

The Chairman also pointed out that this equipment complimented the Heart Monitors that the Foundation has already donated, which are installed in the Gozo CCU Ward.

Training in the use of this new equipment is being arranged by Mr Charles Mifsud of Associated Equipment.

Dr Livori and Ms Catherone Vella thanks the Gozo CCU Foundation for this very useful piece of equipment which can save lives.
